I know many who did that and ended up in some disputes later on. A personal friend of mine does that too, in order to get a green card.

Personally as for me, I would say no if I do not know the 'immigrant' personally unless its a close relative or something.

Uh, since that's a felony, I can't imagine how much it would take (even if I wasn't already married). The felony comes in when you make sworn statements, both in writing and in person, that the marriage is lawful, valid, and not strictly for the purposes of manipulating the immigratino system.

I know illegal immigrants who've done just that. I wouldn't want to marry one, even if it was a friend, though. That would be going too far.

I might consider it for, oh, say, 500,000. No, wait! I would like to have a pension set up so I could live off the interest. Maybe $100,000 interest a year.

Obviously the person would have to be very rich.

And I'd have to give up my husband........

IF i would ever do something like that, wait, it's illegal, i wouldnt do it for any amount of money, it wouldnt be worth my freedom
