accept responsibility for your own actions. Does't matter the age. I didn't begin to do this until I was 49, the majority of the time anyway.

Perhaps best answered by this old joke.
Old bull and young bullock let into a field full of young heifers. Youngster says, Hey, Let's dash over and do one!
Old bull replies, No, son, Lets amble over and do the lot!
Maturity is not a badge of the elderly but a measure of the experience gained through life. WW2 saw some very mature youngsters coming home afterwards. Nowadays sees some extremely imature oldies.
As for why, life has a timeline, some use it wisely and some waste it. The mature ones are the ones who have learned to learn. The best of luck on your trip, though I think you will come to see you make your own luck.

To be mature is to be responsible, self-sufficient, capable of making choices, taking care of your future.
There's no special age, I think. Some mature in age of, for instance, 15 (if they had tough childhood or something), some in age of 20 and some - even 40.
It depends on when you feel really mature, deeply inside.

Probably when you get your first job. That's a sign of maturing and trying to take responsiblity for your own life. The second part is leaving your parents' house.

i think maturity comes with experience....age doesn't matter. If you see other people doing something wrong and u feel its wrong too and decide not to do it urself then thats "maturity".
Edit: maturity also depends on how u respond to things! and happy birhtday!

I don't think anyone ever does. No age can be put on it. You get Wise or bitter, but there is always a new thing to learn.

It means to become more wise with age. It can be any age and if you have that tendency when you are young, it will probably stay with you.
