It fell to the left and the gear shift(not the clutch) bent all the way around ending right above the left footrest. I took the bar off and placed it back where it belongs but I cant find fist gear now i dont know what the problem is. I think that one of the cables broke whe it did a 180. Can i take it somewhere for diagnosis how much? What could it be and how do i get it back on to the road as fast as possible.

Sounds to me like when you put the shifter back on the bike, you didn't get it on the shaft correctly. Try taking it off again and rotating it up and putting it back on the shaft again. Then try to down shift into 1st. The clutch lever is cable actuated but not the shift lever, so unless it won't go into any other gear when the clutch lever is pulled, I don't think you broke any cables.

The shift shaft may be bent.
Move the shift lever -
Does any part of the lever, or linkage hit any thing, preventing you from shifting?
Put the bike on the center stand -
With a wrench or pair of pliars, move the part bolted to the shift shaft, while turning the R wheel forward and back.
If it still won't shift -
Drain the oil.
Remove the clutch cover (right engine cover).
Remove the clutch and try to turn the shift drum to check for transmission damage.

a good resource specific to the EX250 is:

sometimes it helps, and they have guides that can show you what needs to be done, and some good parts websites, nothing for the engines though.
