Not at all but never take it with an abusive manner. Also, stay really far of the hard drugs like coke and heroin. That will be kill you!

Naw. They can open your mind to different perspectives of reality. Altering your perceptions is a fundemental part of shamanism, magick, expanding your consciousness, and coming to greater awareness of the universe. It's only when folks trip balls for purely recreational reasons, all the time, that they are just killing brain cells for fun and wasting. Dionysus was my first pagan god and he taught me this. Some university is starting to study how hallucinagens effect people again. They did a study on mushrooms. Most everyone who took the shrooms had the same or very similar hallucinations. When they dosed again later in the same place, the hallucination seemed to be the same but change slightly, like time had passed, which it had. The folks doing the study had to conclude that the dosers were, in fact, seeing the same thing, possibly something in another dimension, that changed with the passing of time. Also 80% of the testees said the shroom trip was the most spiritual experience they had ever experienced.

Illegal drugs are bad for all. The real question is whether they affect everyone and that is certainly not the case. Some people get lucky and do drugs with no harm to the body or mind but I would not suggest that.

If it werent for Heroin, Curt Cobain would Probably still be with Courtney Love.(Death has got to be better than that!) Would Authur Conan Doyle Have written all the Sherlock Holmes novels without using cocaine? Or Would The Cask of Amontillado, or the Raven been written without Absinthe?

I think pot should be legalized.
I also think that there are certain other drugs that should be legal for spiritual journeying.
Crazy making drugs like cocaine, crack, heroin meth etc should be completely illegal but the REHAB centers to get off them should be free.
