Well, what else are you doing, I mean other sins? If you stop being Bisexual, would you then be not a sinner?

I am a Bisexual Christian too. But I know that any attempt to 'become sinless' or 'obtain perfection' will not impress God, He knows what perfection looks like, and I ain't it.

So if Bisexuality isn't a sin, then what else am I doing that is? Is the point of Christianity to work out your own sinlessness? Not by what I read! What I read is to trust God and love Him, and I have trusted Him for over 20 years, and I love Him more than ever.

So sin is nothing to me. I instead look to Jesus, the Author and Finisher of Faith ( Hebrews 12:2) and sin is crap. Death is nothing, and God's promises are yea, and in Him Amen ( nothing doubting) .

No definately not. I am a gay Christian and have searched the Bible and found no scriptures to say it is a sin. If you read the so called passages that say being gay or bi-sexual is a sin correctly the true meaning is different from the people that use them to condem us. Sometimes being gay or bi-sexual was forbidden, but it was never considered being evil or sinful.

David the King of Israel was bi-sexual he had a love for Jonathan the surpassed that of the love of a woman (2 Samual 1:26) and yet had several wives. In the times that David lived in the was no concept of a man just being friends with a woman, only that of sexual relationship.

So being bi-sexual is not a sin see also the Soulforce reference below.

Actually all serious studies have shown that the majority of humans are, in one form or another, bi-sexual.

This is because sexuality in humans doesnt exist in a rigit form, but is instead fluidic in nature:
Ranging from complete heterosexual to complete homosexual.

The two extreme scales of the specrum (complete Heterosexual and complete homosexual) are actually quite rare. Most people are somewhere between those too extremes.
If you need more information about sexuality it can be found at the American Psychologial Association website

Do not worry about what the Church tells you is a sin. The Church has historically had a horrible track record for following Christian Dogma.

It was not that long ago (relatively speaking) when the Church used to burn people alive for not following certain totalerian beliefs. Later on, the Church oppressed women, who where considered to be inferior half being from the rib of Adam to serve Adam and also Blacks who where considered to be abominations who carried the Mark of Cain. Today the Church is active in an evil modern day Witch-hunt against gay people.

NO! I'm Catholic, by birth, not because I choose to be one.

The bible was created by MAN, not god. But I mean how can your really know if there is a god?

In the ancient times people had gods for everything, and now we, or atleast I, think how weird that was. They had to pray to lots of different gods; we grew up in a society that says only one god exist, but how can they know? So what if in the future, the people make funs of us now, because we think there is a god.

I mean, if it said on the bible that we should all jump of a bridge at age 45 would you? NO, of course not, welll maybe some would, but those are the same people who think that being bi-sexual or gay or anything other than straight is a sin.

It is a sin to call your self bi-sexual? No. Is it a sin to have feelings that you are a bi-sexual? No. Is it a sin to engage in bi-sexual sex? Yes.

It is a sin to have sex with someone you are not married to according to the Christian faith. Why? because if you are not married to them, that means that they belong to someone else and you are committing adultery. And God is pretty clear that THAT is a sin. And the christian bible is pretty clear about the fact that marriage historically is reserved for a man and woman to each other. The only references to same sex sexual activities are in the context of that which is considered wrong or improper.

ANY sin, regardles of what it is, goes against the will of God for our lives. Sexual sin is considered worse because it's a sin again your own body which is where the Holy Spirit of God wants to dwell. But the punishment for ALL sin is exactly the same, regardless of what the sin is. The punishment is eternal separation from God unless you acknowledge that you sin, ask for forgiveness and ask God to take over your life and help you live a life according to his will. Once you do that, and invite God ot be the director of your life, sin no longer has to condem you to be separated from God.

Here's a better question.

Do you believe in sin? Sin is just something created by Christianity. If you believe in sin, then I guess it is. If you dont, then why bother thinking about it?

And I just wanted to say to one poster's comment on gay animals. There are gay animals, and certain apes are known for being completely bisexual mating with whatever they want at almost any time.

The ignorance in this world is amazing. Absolutely amazing.

Um, I'm not sure. I think that most other Christians would think it's a sin. But if you ask me personally, I'd just say it's normal. No need to run from it.

Oi wei!!!!! With all my respect to the people who've posted their answers here, with all my sympathy for their bigotry and the fact that they make a conscious decision not to think critically and be totally ignorant about the issues they dare to discuss, I would like to ask them to check their references before they post something and... cut the crap!!! I graduted from a Catholic high school and have a master's degree in theology. The Bible does not say anything about homosexuality. At all!!!
Sodom and Gomorrah were distroyed not because of "exclusively homosexual behavior of its people" (like that's ever possible), but because they were greedy, inhospitable and disrespectful to each other or, in other words, broke all of the ten commendments, the core theme in the Bible. They als tried to assail two angels, the messengers of God that Lot'd accomodated. Those were the reasons, and never homosexual behavior or something to that account that present day preachers like bullshitting about.
The line "Don't lie with a man like with a woman..." is complete mistranslation of the original Biblical text, which was written in Biblical Hebrew. The mistranslation was deliberate for religious institutions in the past (well, just like in the present) were trying to outlaw homosexuality for reasons that are far different from pure faith. The reasons were societal or, to be precise, it was the mode of societal development in the olden days that called for drastic measures against homosexual behavior. Religious justification is only a veneer, a mask that more educated scholars of the church put on to break it down for the ignorant masses in the midieval Europe. So please stop refering to this verse to justify your bigotry. You're WRONG!!!
It's not only homosexuality and homosexual behavior that is condemned in the Bible. It is any, accourding to St. Paul, sexual behavior outside the bonds of marriage that is sinful and should be punished (that's if you follow the main biblical theme). So now, the moment of truth: how many of you, good Christians who posted here, have had sex with they girlfriends and boyfriends before you got married? Huh? Don't lie to me! Oh boy, remember all those good time when you had you girlfriend (not sure if she'll ever become your wife) juggle your balls like a freaking squirrel... So what do you have to say in you defense, my dear sinners? I know, I know... you silence is the best answer...
Lastly, decide who the **** you are: Christians or Judaists? Beacuse if you're Christians, you should probably follow what Jesus had to say and he, being an extremely good fella, did not say a word about homosexuality. If you are Christians, stop picking and choosing random verses from the Old Testament for it does not belong to you and is INCONSISTENT with YOUR religion. And if you decide you like the Old Testament better, they apply it in its entirety to your life and be miserable, for you will not be able to even fart or belch without being put to death by stoning because almost everything you will have to do about your miserable present day lives will be an ABOMINATION in the eyes of God, according to the Old Testament. So make it your own! Live with it! Or maybe you are too scared to be consistent live by the word of God, who's not as kind as that of the New Testament. Take a f***ing chance, if you call yourselves true Christians and then dare open you big dirty mouths to let some more crap out, because you're so full of it.

And no, being bisexual is not a sin, neither in the eyes of God, nor in my personal opinion, nor for true Christians who know how to love and hold it as their only true belief.

According to the bible, NOBODY is born without sin, we are all sinners, and there ARE homosexual animals, in the bible, GOD says nothing, it was not written by God you fools, it was written by men. The bible also says it is a sin to eat shellfish, have relations with your wife if she is within 7 days of her cycle, and a sin to wear clothing made of two different cloths, ( I guess those cotton poly blends are out now.)

It's only 1/2 a sin. Your hell won't be quite as hot as a full blown homosexual's.
Now say 1/2 of a Hail Mary and go to bed.
Glad to help.
