I like craigslist.com and it's free.

You will be hard pressed to find something better than ebay, but you can always try listing ads in various locations of http://craigslist.org.

Depending on what you are selling you can get a lot of views from the many visitors on craigslist and if you optimize your ad properly it will get indexed in the search engines and then get you some decent traffic and it is free.

Other than that you may want to look at Google Base base.google.com and other shopping bot sites.

Good luck

http://www.craigslist.org

then choose your nearby city.

You have to register (free), and placing ads is free, and you can put on photos. You have quite a bit of control over your ad, and of course, in this instance, buyers would be folks nearby. They don't recommend mailing or shipping product (when payment is made by cashier's or personal check), cause there have been scammers who send cashier's check, which is accepted initially by the bank and placed into your account. Many days later, the bank rejects the check as counterfeit, meanwhile you've mailed your product and all that money you thought you had is adjusted out of your account.

Interesting question. If you're referring to bidding, e-Bay is #1 but there are other auction sites. The top 20 are listed at this site: http://auctions.nettop20.com/

If it's straight sales, http://sfbay.craigslist.org/ is a great alternative and is VERY popular. When you go there, just click on your state and then the category you're interested in.

You dont opt to apply lots of the different ones. you opt to apply those that maximum folk use, considering it particularly is the place youre going to maximum probable come across a purchaser. you opt to be listed the place the purchasers are, no longer on some public sale or categorised internet site that infrequently absolutely everyone has heard of.
