She works longer days than you. How selfish and lazy can a boyfriend really be? You both work, you both pay bills, and you both should clean and shop together. Relationships are all about working together. Not assigning duties as you see fit. If I were her I'd have a few choice words for you.

Since you are still girlfriend and boyfriend, a 50 / 50 split on the chores is in order. If she only works a 4 day week, that’s her benefit, not yours.
If the shoe was on the other foot you’d probably see it differently.
Since there is no serious commitment, split everything. If you were married, she may be more motivated to want to have as much time with you on your off-work hours. But for now, you are together for convenience and the commitment benefits don’t apply.

She should have Friday off. Then you do it together on one of the other two off days? Why should she work a full time job, then do EVERYTHING at the house just because she has a 3rd day off? She works the same amount of hours you do, so you should do the same amount of work at the house. Either that, or you do the cooking and general cleaning while she's still at work and then on Fridays, she can do laundry and grocery shopping.

I think she should dump you for even suggesting that and i'm really surprised she's putting up with you to begin with. She deserves a day off just like you. She works harder at 10 hours a day then you do so why shouldn't she get her day off. Maybe she can't clean because she has a man over

you sound very traditional, in a way, and you should realize that you both work equally hard, so you should not expect her to do your grocery shopping and clean. Quit being lazy and co-operate with her. You dont mind that you both go 50/50 on everything...why this?

you telling her to work on the day she has off when you work the same hours a week is like her telling you to clean and do stuff on the 2 free hours you have every other day when she's still working because you work 8 and she works 10 hours a week. so if you see it like that i guess it makes sense why she doesn't agree with you. but it doesn't make sense that she do nothing a whole day either, so i agree with you.

50/50 is 50/50...
most of all have a plan, communicate.
Put yourself in her place, would you like to do all the housework??
It Does sound just a bit chauvinistic to tell her to do it all....
It is simply not fair for one to do all the dirty work... !!

One week she could do it alone and the next week you two could do it together this might be her way of spending time together so just explain to her and if she fails to realize just do as she says make her feel like a woman...SMILE

you should do it together. you both work 40hrs a week.
why would she have to do it alone?
she works longer days so she can enjoy that one day off.
you work shorter days so you can do something by yourself while she is at work. (or are you cleaning and grocery shopping while she is still at work?)

You should both do it, how would you feel if she made you do it all by yourself on the weekends? If you share everything else, share that so stop being lazy.
