HELL YES GO WAKE HIM.
i work at 5 am every day as well...and let me tell you i love it when the wife wakes me a few hours before cus she's in the mood. but give him at least 1 hour to get some sleep.

let him sleep for 3 1/2 hours then wake him up and make him work for an hour before work

yes,
I did it the other day and he had to be at work at 2:00 in the morn and he went to sleep at 8:00.
though he was asking for it!!!! I walked in the room and well i think he was having a good dream so i went to help, he he ha ha, made him jump for got to warm my hands!!!

Well, I'm sure he'll probably be willing. Just don't expect a much by way of foreplay, finesse, minty fresh breath, or a long session of cuddling & pillow-talk afterwards.
