About the ship's and plane's that have mysteriously vanished while passing through the Bermuda (Devil's) Triangle.

Please keep in mind that I am looking for your own personal opinion. No text book stuff or professional documentation.

And please, I don't need to know your opinion on what you don't believe, but what you do believe is behind this mystery.

I think a few of you have understood the question wrong. I was not asking if this was paranormal and I never placed my own opinion on this subject. I stated it was a mystery - which it is. There is no flaw in this question I am only looking for your personal opinion of what you your self believe is behind this mystery. As for me I am completely open so I have no opinion as of yet this is why I am asking.
I just do not want to hear what you don't think it is but what you do think causes this mystery. I never said it was paranormal so please do not assume this is what I meant. I am looking for all the different views.
For example if you think it is paranormal I like to know why.
For example if you think it is just a natural occurance then I like to know why.
For example if you think someone splashing around in the water then I like to know why.

Note: one answer stated that it wasn't a black hole - well sorry that helps me not as I am not interested in what you think it isn't but what you think it is that causes this mystery. and for those that said it wasn't a mystery - well I must disagree just because ships and planes disappear in other places does not make them any less a mystery.
I will reread all answers in case you want to adjust your answer - I will pick a best answer in about 20 hours and thanks for your opinions.

I've often thought that it was a hole to another demension. An area where beings from another place and time remove anything in that area for their observations. Earth serves like a petri dish, all the ingredients for life have been inserted and all species are studied from a far.
or
Perhaps a location that over time the water and wind pattern has re aligned the electrons, like rubbing metal together for a while in the same direction eventually causing the metal to become magnitized. The cloud formations and weather in this area are magnified as well and when the warm air from the south and north meets causing a vortex Like the concept of the toilet flushing in the northern hemisphere and southern hemisphere this is where the two forces converge. The charge interferes with modern devices and all direction is lost causing pilots and captains to fly or navigate blindly.

Ah truely a mystery..... good question. But, do tell if you know the real meaning and please site your sources. I would like to know too.

I like both names. They're hard for me to hear for a child, but if you think about it, people are adults longer than they are children, so they should have an adult sounding name. I mean, can you see a president Jade or a doctor Raelyn? I can't, how weird would it be for a mother to say to her child " Do you want to go see grandma Kaely?" I just can't picture an 80 year old with some of the names I've heard. Hugo, it's quite nice actually. I can see it aging well, and if teasing is a problem, he could always go by a middle name until a more proper name was needed. Harriet, eh I'm not that fond of it, but I can see it aging well also. It sounds classy and older. I'd probably pair it with a modern, yet sophisticated name such as Sophia.

It is in the least a coincidence. Not to say that coincidences are not relevant. Like the coincidence that I will run into a long lost friend at the grocery store that he/she shops at frequently as do I. The unknowns about what makes the Bermuda Triangle such a dangerous and mysterious location for disapperances is what is relevant here. What is the co-incidence?

My answer then is that it is a coincidence. Not to say that it is not supernatural, just unknown.

Ok, WELL dear friend, your question is corrupt, so one would expect the answers too, to be so.

Forget the theories and do this, then PLEASE.. MSN me back, I would like your answer too, that’s fare is it not!

Track the trajectory of the earth from its origin, that with direct respect to its point of origin. The so-called BigBang! Point an arrow in the direction of that origin. Then, IN REAL TIME Plot that point on earth, taking into account the earths rotation about that point also, as the earth is rotating, and this point too will be moving at the earths rotational speed, this is not linear to its centre of motion, linear to our time though, so be careful here.

Calculate the rotation of the earth and the forces excelled upon the earth, the origin from which the earth is travelling, and you will have a fixed point of reference. These points cut across both x and y 2d planes of the earth’s surface. The earth being spherical, not a true sphere, tilted and travelling away from that source. Track those too. Map them. Identify the lines they cover, and you will discover much more than that of the question you ask.

Most if not all the very highly secret testing and government laboratory sites are lying along these paths. Do some research! Now, not forgetting that singular point of origin of forces imposed upon the earth from the initial force of acceleration and that the most important point one should consider is the fixed non-orbiting point. Locate that and backtrack your research, and you will as too will many others, be extremely surprised.

Most people will not have the technical facility to do that, I wonder if you may.

You tell me. Edwin x.

Most likely there is nothing special about this area of the ocean. It is a high traffic area so it stands to reason that relatively more accidents will occur there than other less traveled areas of the ocean. Severe weather also often occurs in that general area. Also, since everybody has heard the legend of the Bermuda Triangle, people are more likely to hear and remember reports of missing aircraft or ships there than in other parts of the ocean.

It's all just a coincidence. It's a heavily travelled area, it does not surprise me that so many planes and boats have went down. They have a lot of bad storms that appear out of nowhere, and then the Gulf Stream also stirs things up.

Here's my opinion. Since there's no statistical difference in the number of planes and ships and people lost in that region than anywhere else on Earth (why don't people ever just look at the numbers?), it's just a superstition.

As a physicist, I can give you my definitive, scientific, 10 years of college opinion that it is NOT caused by magnetic fields or black holes.

i believe there are 3 causes

the one has the most votes is about the bizzard weather of the triangle area, how it changed quickly.

the next one is also as scientific. its about how methane gas from the ocean floor can bring boats and even airplanes down. it has been proven. when methane gas bubble came to the surface, they pop, release a mad amount to the air that cause engine to stop. and sometimes the bubbles are too big they also bring down the ship as well.

the last one is alien. remember when all of a sudden so many missings happen like all of them happened almost within a range of time. and after that, no more. so within that time, aliens must been here and kidnapped some of us. im saying this because some of the missings were never been able to be proven in a scientific sense.

I believe the lost city of Atlantis may lie beneath the Bermuda Triangle. I also believe this city has strong extraterrestrial influences.
