like a few matches agansit our teams we have the aihl (australian ice hockey league) we have suitable venues i know because i play ice hockey but would like to see north american teams play down hear for friendlys like they do in soccer. if they do id like to see the new jersey devils play against the Melbourne ice i would pay a lot of money to see that. the Melbourne ice are a great team.

If you are suggesting that the NHL send teams to Australia to play the AIHL, then no, it will never happen. The AIHL is an amateur league regardless of whether pro players are making their home there for the Australian winter. The quality of hockey is quite good, but no where near the caliber of the NHL. Most NHL teams would beat most of the elite IIHF teams handlily. Australia, for the time being at least, is on the outskirts of that level.

Perhaps more importantly, the winters do not coincide. With the exception of September, there is no overlap to the seasons.

An AIHL vs. Asian Hockey League match would be interesting. The Seoul team has Esa Tikkanen last time I heard, and teams like Oji and Kokudo play quality hockey.

Maybe. In the past few seasons, they've started having exhibition games overseas, like Sweden, England, and I think Japan. I'm starting to think that it's a pilot project to see how well they do, and so far, it's looking good. As long as Bettman doesn't screw it up by having an exhibition game in Zimbabwe that is....
