Merlin could give you all that you could ever want! He could cook a batch of spells and change whatever you wanted into something wonderful!
The days of King arthur and Merlin would bring back honor and chivalery,....brave souls seeking to find the damsel in distress and slay any bad dragon to win her heart,...now isn't that romantic enough for you?
Dracula had his castle in those days, and impaled people on his old wrought-iron fence,....he might have been a bit scarey at times, but he had no romance! He never inspired me to seek a damsel! He never had the courage to face the daylight! His fear of a little veggie like garlic just didn't show me his strength, but instead, showed his obvious weakness!
I vote for King Arthur days and Merlin with his pot of brews filla dreams! The days of castles and knights in armour have a glisten and a polish and a taste of real adventure for the soul that seeks to be elsewhere!!

I had a different answer before I read more of your question and saw Vampires. I have to say Vamps. I've been fascinated with them since I was little. They just seem to hold that power over a lot of people. Of course I would hate to meet one in a dark alley, but I might just offer my neck as a snack..... ^.^~

I think all myths and legends have a bit of truth in them, a part of our ancient past..........but to answer your question, I would like for the legend of Sigurd the Dragonslayer to be true today! (For those who have never heard of it, google Norse or Germanic mythology.)
