22/7 is an apprximation only
PI is an irrational number, which means it cannot be written as the ratio of two integers.

22/7 is a rational approximation for the irrtional number(does not repeat.

22/7 does not EQUAL pi, it is virtually an approximation

It is only an approximation.

If you want to experiment with the value of pi, do this:
Gather many different sized cans out of your cabinet, measure the circumference of a can and divide it by the diameter. Use millimeters. Do this repeatedly for several cans. Average your answer and you should get an answer pretty darn closed to 3.14.

It's just a fun experiment.

Pi is actually the ratio of the circumference of a circle to it's radius. 22/7 is only an approximation for Pi. 22/7 is ONLY accurate to 2 decimal places.

You just posted a few minutes ago, you don't have to post again. This question doesn't even make any sense.

It is "pi," not pie. Pi is NOT 22/7. It is the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter. It does not repeat; it keeps on going as far as we know.

First of all, learn to type better and more accurately so others can more clearly understand you. Second of all:

22/7 = 3.1428571428571428571428571428571
pi = 3.1415926535897932384626433832795

c=2pir
pi = c/(2r)

Where c is the circumference and r is the radius of any circle.

That is what pi is.

when you divide 22 by 7 you get 3.14285714285, and the value of pi is 3.14---
