The majority of people in today's society want to look out for themselves instead of someone else. If we could look beyond color and know that we all bleed the same and if we can realize that what happens to one person effects a whole chain of others then just maybe we could all get along. We need to band together and know that we are all apart of the human race; there are no other races.

We can't just get along b/c the world revolves around money. Money is what fuel disagreements. If we all got along lots of industries wouldn't exist and many people would be out of work. Discord is necessary in order to fund various industries. People who lack money are fighting to get some and those who have money are fighting to make sure no one else attains their material wealth. Get rid of money and you get rid of all the problems. Regardless of race, religion, class, people all over the world are the same. We have the same basic needs so we have the potential to get along provided we get rid of money. Unfortunately, it's not going to happen--at least no time soon.

This may not be what you are looking for but this is what I believe is the answer. Ever since the "Fall" , sin entered the world and this is what causes our problems. Things like greed, hate, jealousy, anger, etc. are a result of sin and this is what is behind our problems. These things arise sooner or later causing us not to get along. We are told in the bible that there will come a time on earth where we will see peace and perfect rule. This time is called the "Millennium period". This period comes after the 7 year tribulation period. The reason we have the millennium is Christ is reigning on earth and Satan is bound in chains till the end of this period. You see we can try and try and try we should but we will never have perfect peace on earth till He returns.

It really depends on what you mean but that.
If you are relating it to society, I believe it is simpily because people do not understand each other, each other's situation, each other's memory, feelings, and experiences.
If we simpily act kind to one another, the kindness spreads.
But some people may not understand the actions of others, and some people will hurt other people because they are hurt themselves.
It seems like a repeating cycle, until the old patterns are released, and someone breaks out of the mold, being brave and showing kindness and respect to other people.
I believe people are not born with the inate ability to be nasty to others.
I believe that people are simpily blind and oblivious to each other, because they don't understand other people and their emotions.
I'm not sure, but I think this relates to your question.

Because we're unevolved animals.. we have a long long way to go before we get to the point of seeing ourselves as one planet and one species. Hopefully that will happen before we obliterate ourselves.
