I love the name Mariah. When i think of this name i think of a petite girl with brown hair that's just adorable.

I think it's very pretty. I understand from the net that the names Emily and Isabella are in the top 10 baby girl names. I am not sure if Mariah was on the list. But, so what, right? Best of luck

I think Mariah is a pretty name, but Mariah Lopez makes me think of Mario Lopez (you know, from "Saved by the Bell", and "Dancing with the Stars")...if that's cool with you, then it's a nice name! :) Otherwise, you might want to use another name.

i think mariah is a pretty name even though there is a singer names mariah carey i still havent heard of any children besides mariah carey having that name

It's lovely. Soft, feminine, traditional. I guess you've heard the song "They Call the Wind Mariah" from the musical "Paint Your Wagon"? Beautiful song, beautiful name, but if she lives up to her name she may have a wandering spirit and be an illusive daughter, friend and lover??? Find the song and listen to it.

that is a very cute name and it is not totaly wacky like some people choose like apple or something. and i think that later in life your daughter will apperciate being named a name that is only for girls, not one of those boy/girl names. Mariah is a very pretty name i would name a girl that.
