Coach Belichick won't put up with his crap. He'll whip him into shape. Moss was pretty good in MN, bad in Oakland. Hopefully he'll do good in NE. I'm a fan of the Pats so I'm hoping he can do some good.

The bottom line is that Randy Moss is and has always been a 2-3 year player. He plays 2-3 years, and then he feels, as you said, disrespected. The other elite receivers in the NFL are locking up $9 million a year contracts right now - and the Patriots probably just don't believe, at 33, he is worth that; but that is certainly what he will demand. From a front office perspective - it's like this: he wants Larry Fitzgerald money. He's no Larry Fitzgerald, not any more; even if he is, we're talking a couple more years of that production versus Larry Fitzgerald still having most of his career ahead of him. Bottom line, we aren't going to re-sign him for that money, SO let's trade him now and get something for him before we walks out the door for nothing as a free agent (a la LeBron James in Cleveland). They picked up Randy Moss as a washout from Oakland for a 4th round pick, and traded him as a solid contributor for a 3rd round pick. The only thing that really doesn't make sense is why now, while they are looking like a legitimate contender in the AFC? Either they feel very confident in the players they still have, or they are looking at making usage of those draft picks (less than reliable rumors are out there about acquiring Vincent Jackson from San Diego for the 2nd and 3rd round picks they want; somewhat more reliable rumors that the Patriots are looking at A.J. Green from Georgia in the draft, although that doesn't help them right now).

Too much Talent brings a a bad attitude almost always, they stop caring about the team and more about themselves. They loose focus on what really matters, until they grow older and still don't have the one big game where they win it all. T.O. and Randy Moss have become just that. I have been a long time Pats fan since middle school and a d]Dallas fan since I was in elementary. I don't think either players will do the teams they are on any good, and will in the end just be an expensive waste of time that brings the whole team down.

Dallas! It worked for T.O. Moss is still good. I think he'll be back in pro-bowl form. Theres too much leadership on the team to let him mess anything up. They are an organization willing to dump him within the first sign of trouble. But I've never seen Moss actually "Mess up" a team like Owens did.

Bottom line is; he is an incredible talent.
Probably the most talented receiver of all time, but he is childish. However, in this situation he may thrive. He will play his heart out for Belicheck at least for this season. If the Patriots at least make it to the Super Bowl, things will work out in New England, but if the Patriots do not make it to the Super Bowl this season, he will be a liability. He's a wild card. He plays on his own terms.
Playing in the Super Bowl is the ultimate goal of any professional football player. If the Patriots go to the Super Bowl this season and win. Randy Moss will play the game of his life. He will be the Super Bowl MVP. I guarantee it!
He is a huge risk. Belicheck and the Patriots are "going all in with him" ( like in those Poker games on ESPN ). Whether they realize it or not ( and I think Belicheck is smart enough to know this ) they are betting all their chips that he will pay off.

The Pats handled Corey Dillon...They will handle Randy Moss...Like Dillon, Moss just wants to win...and he will have a great chance of winning the Super Bowl...He will be happy...And to those who are implying that the Pats are putting everything on the line for Moss...uh, no they aren't...They also got Dante Stallworth as a potential top receiver...not to mention additions Kelly Washington, Wes Welker, and a couple TEs...

I think Randy Moss should go play on the interstate. See if he can doge the traffic. I hate the guy. Way over rated an plays for money. Not the heart of the game. He'll screw up the pats, and everyone will hate him again and he'll cry and then he'll quit and he'll go play for the 49ers. Oh NO!!!! I like the 49ers. Crap!!!!!!!!!!!
