Because, her daughter is "away" at "school" which really she is at a home for unwed mothers run by nuns. the daughter is going to have the baby, and the Bree, who has been "pregnant" (wearing a fake pregnant suit) will keep the baby as her own...that way their secret will remain safe, and everyone will think the daughter was really at school, and Bree was really pregnant.

The baby being acknoledged as Danielle's would bring shame and embaressement to Bree, so she is [pretending she is pregnant so when the baby arives (the daughter is living in switzerland or something until then) everyone will think its Brees baby and not Danielle's.

She doesn't want anyone to know about her daughter being pregnant. No one really knows where her daughter is, they thing she's at school. She's faking the pregnancy and then pretending her daughter's baby is hers.
