Walk--helps baby's head put pressure on the cervix to get it dilating and thinning.
Have sex--semen contains prostoglandins to help thin the cervix and causes contractions.
Nipple stimulation--releases oxytocin to stimuate labor--20min. on, 10 off, repeat until labor is really going strong. A breast pump is useful for this.

Tell them that you're not going to leave until the contractions either stop or slow down quite a bit. If you're having them 4-5 minutes apart that means you're in active labor. You may only be 3cm right now, but you can dilate quickly. They should have had you stay for observation. I would go back now. :) Congrats, you're going to have a new baby soon.

Labor can take a long time. Sunday is only two days away, you may go before Sun. Just tell you doctor that they are going to have to do something. Usually they do not give you an epidural until you are at least 5 cm. Go for a ride in a car down a bumpy road that may help speed up the process.

Go back in. I went in when I was 3 cm. with my 2nd and 3rd baby. I had both of them 2 hrs. later.
Walking is good, also you should drink some red rasberry leaf tea.
I'm sure you are in no mood to have sex!
Be careful with nipple stimulation, this can induce some really hard contractions.
Just go back in!

If your contractions are 4-5 minutes apart, you need to get your butt off the computer and get to the hospital!!!!

WALKWALKWALK!!!
If your baby is pushing against your cervix, that can make you dilate! Walk! Walk up stairs! Have sex with your husband (although I know it's the last thing you want right now).
Seriously. Walk. Have sex. Take a warm bath. Walk some more. THAT will probably help you get back there tonight.
Congrats and good luck, honey.

just keep walking. I know at my hospital they admit you at 100% and 4 cm .. your pretty darn close i think to active labor.
Good luck. You have less than a day 1/2 .... just relax and try to get sleep you'll need it for the delivery!

it sounds like you are getting ready to have a baby! most places will admit you once you get to 4cm(most consider this active labor)
are you timing your contractions? time from start to start and if it is consitantly under 5 minutes for awhile i would go back in.
good luck!!!!!

Things can change in a matter of seconds, go back in, at least they can check you and reassure you a little. You can go from 3 cm to 10 cm in a VERY short period...trust me. If they hurt, they are real, they might be changing you, just go, better to be safe than sorry..and that is what they are there for.
