Yes.
Real question is what affect ...
People want to raise minimum wages but seem to complain when their prices on commodities and services increase.
I will never understand this phenomenon. Maybe someone thinks everyone else will pay for it.
Oops. That's almost correct. EVERYONE will pay for it.

It probably was. They tend to raise it quite often, usually once a year at least. You can look up bills passed by congress and browse for the particular raise.

Also, if you are noticing a wage raise, it might be because your state raised their minimum wage.

I think minimum wage is horribly low at this time in history. The cost of living these days requires about 15-20$/hr and health insurance MINIMUM to barely scrape by.

Now all the union contracts which base their wages scales

against the minimum wage, will get non negotiated, pay

raises. This will squeeze our wallets.

I think it was, actually. It's supposed to go up to $7.35 or something??? I don't know when it goes into effect though.

Yes it was....and you'll see it reflected in prices because the companies won't be paying for it....we will.
