my laptop wont play dvds because it says i dont have a dvd encoder!! help i really need to play dvds in it by tomarrow!!!!!!!

You probablydownloaded some crummy free program off the net and it blew out your good program. Do a system restore to before it disappeared, or reinstall your good codec pac. My dvd, cineplayer are two ones commonly used by mfgrs. Look for your cd or ask your mfgr for anotherdisk. Usually they will furnish it free.

google for K-LITE codec pack and download the full pack and install it and you should be good to go or google vlc player and download and install it, it will play nearly every type of video file that can be found on the net, it plays dvds perfectly

the codecs to play dvds may be missing in the media player
try downloading k-lite with media player classic

Just download k-lite mega codec pack and install it.

try Klite media player ...


It has all the codec in build..... its really awesome ..
