i recieve a $32 rebate check to my apt. but it was someone that live here long time ago. dunno where this person live. since the check has my address....can i put this in my citibank checking account? yes or no? thx in advance.

is your name on the check? or just the address? if it's not you, it's fraud and you could be prosecuted and sent to jail. Is $32 worth the possible thousands it could cost you in lawyer fees. Probably not. send it back to the sender as "doesnt' live here anymore" and that would give you good karma.

NO!!! Not only is that mail fraud (even tho it was addressed to your residence, it was not addressed 2 you) but it is also check fraud--that's two felonies right there and that is not worth $32. Furthermore, any reputable bank should not honor a check that is not in your name. Just write moved on the envelope and put it back in the mailbox.

Um i think that is Fraud and so i would have to say no because it is not made out to you i would just return the piece of mail to the post office and they can try to get it to the right Owner if not then still don't cash it especially with Citi bank.
