i just got my betta today and i have a fake turtle in the tank that he keeps flaring at i dont want to take it out will he get used to it or do i need to take it out?

He will get used to it, nothing to worry about.

He perceives it as a threat right now. After a while he will get used to it (unless you have an earthquake and the fake turtle moves towards him!). I used to keep a mirror on the outside of the tank just to give my male betta something to do. Of course he was always over there huffing at 'it'. He didn't slam into the glass or do anything that would that would have hurt him or I would have taken it away. He just stared at 'it' and dared 'it' to do anything!

I assume this is a tank with other fish?give him a few days to see if he chills out, if not remove the turtle because it could distress him or put the betta in a vase by himself. Bettas do better by themselves anyway

If he thought the turtle was a threat he'd hide from it. He sounds like he is a tad aggressive. He'll get use to it. He may just like to get his mad on. Once he is settled in try giving him a hour of mirror time once a week.

you have one wierd betta. why don't you leave it in for a week and if your Betta is still annoyed by your fake turrtle put your turle elsewhere.
