If you have been on the pill for a few months/years, it may take a few cycles to rid the drug from your body.
Why do some get pg after 1x of sex? Luck. For those trying, its good luck. For those taking chances, Bad luck.
If after 3 months or so of VERY aggressive 'trying', I'd talk to your OB/GYN. They may have suggestions such as taking your temp in the morning, to assist in knowing when you are ovulating or purchasing a kit that indicates ovulation. You become pregnant while you are ovulating which is USUALLY (but not always) 2 week after the start of your last period. Some ovulate for a few short hours, some ovulate for a day or so. If you are able to tell, (some people have a ache in the lower abdomen of the side that is ovulating), do it like rabbits!! Prop your legs in the air after completion to ensure all those little spermies know which way to swim!! Best of luck and GO GET BUSY!!!

If you have been on the pill for more than 2 years, it sometimes makes it difficult to get pregnant immediately after stopping. Give it some a couple more months. Make sure you are keeping track of ovulation. There are only 3 days out of a 28 day cycle that are prime for getting pregnant. You can have sex 100 times in one month and not get pregnant if you do not try during those three days of ovulation. Check out:
www.webmd.com for an ovulation calculator. You must know the exact day of your last 3 menstrual cycles.

It doesnt nessisarily mean that your pregnant. However, if you have pregnancty related symptoms or and missed periods then I would encourage you to take a pregnancy test.
As far as the other question I was on birth control , but i skipped some pills and thats how i got pregnant and there are many couples out there that try and try and try and they never conceive it just definalty takes some time thats for sure.

Normal, healthy couples with no fertility problems can take up to a year to get pregnant. It's normal to take some time, especially when you've just come off the pill. It can take several months before your body is ovulating regularly again, and until you ovulate, no matter how much sex you hae, you can't get pregnant.
I encourage you to take time to learn how to tell if your body is ovulating, either using ovulation predictor kits or charting your cycles. You can learn more about charting fertility signs from the website fertilityfriend.com, the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility or the website tcoyf.com

My first word of advice for you is to stop worrying. You never get pregnant when you try. Second when you first get off birth control they say it takes a year to become fully fertile again. i disagree. i got pregnant probably 2 months after stopping the pill. But everyone is different. Give yourself some time. Your body to to get back to normal trust me. one day you will wake up and be pregnant and not even have expected it. It is the best feeling in the world!!!

you're not pregnant, no. you have to keep track of when you're ovulating - thats the only time you can get pregnant. Some women ovulate longer than others and can have a more permeable membrane to allow sperm through. Some women have very acidic conditions that aren't very hospitable to sperm. Theres a million reasons people won't be pregnant right away.
I think the trick is to have sex 3-4 times a week after your period is up.

If you have just stopped taking the pill it may take longer for you to get pregnant because the hormones have to work their way out of your system. That doesn't mean that it will take you a long time to get pregnant but that is what most doctors say. As far as when you get pregnant, I think it just has to be the right time. Just keep on trying and you will eventually get pregnant.

for most people it takes more than one month to get preg. it may take up to a year, and if he has abnormal sperm it could take longer.
also when you go off the pill it can take up to 6 months for your body to get back to normal.
if you try for 6 months with no luck then you should see a doc to make sure every thing is ok, my husband and i have been trying for 2 1/2 years now, i found out he has abnormal sperm, and i had a problem as well, so we are trying to work threw that and hopefully we will be preg soon.
good luck, and be patient!!!!

Very often, if you have been on the pill regularly for a period of time, it takes a while after you're off to get pregnant. Most doctors say to give yourself a year before you start worrying...
