This has always baffled me. Wouldn't the price to fill up a 2.2 litre tank technically be around $2.50? Why are people always paying in 10's and 20's?

Sorry if this sounds a little dumb, but I'd really like to know.

Thank you!

2.2L is the size of the engine. The gas tank may hold 10 to 16 gallons or more of fuel, so at 1.10L for fuel, now you know. There is a little less than 4L to a gallon. good luck.

2.2 L is tour engine capacity, which means the volume of petrol and air that can be filled into the cylinders to be combusted. what u are confused with is the fuel tank size which can be anything up to 80 L. This has nothing to do with the engine capacity. and no my girlfriend asked the same question, you're not alone

Because your gas tank is bigger than your engine size.

Your engine size has nothing to do with how much gas you can put in it.

2.2 litres is the size of your engine, not your gas tank.
