When i dirve long distances and turn off my car it won't turn on again unless i push it. ( its a manual trans.) or unless i wait a couple of minutes ( I guess for it to cool down). I believe it could be the starter? If anyone can give me some pointers or hints of what it might be please let me know.

sounds like a starter solenoid or starter relay. you should be able to get a starter maintenance kit for that car for around $100 and replace the solenoid, switch, and relay. worst case, if you have to replace the starter itself, you can get a rebuilt one from most auto parts stores for $100 to $150.

you might try pulling it and taking it down to auto zone or a similar store to be tested (it should be free).

good luck.

Sounds like "heat soak" in the starter---wrap the starter and solenoid, if any, with header tape to keep the engine heat from soaking into and locking up the starter---performance shops carry it.
