It depends on what you are referring to. My dad sometimes calls me "Wimpy" from the hamburger lover from the Popeye cartoons because I love hamburgers. This is a bit weird...you have my same avatar too..??
Oh almost forgot my mom's cartoon nickname for me: Cookie Monster because I love chocolate chip cookies. :-)

Have to look at the source and original story. It could be a good story for her to tell people to break the ice.
Many parents call their kids pumpkins at early age. The kids themselves learn to drop that nickname at a suitable time. It is up to her.
If someone tries to pin a nickname on another person, he or she should be stopped because it is hurtful.

I think of POPEYE or a Hefty trash bag commercial when I here "Wimpy" its not cute. That name sounds more like taunting then a nick-name. Go for something else. Please!

I actually like the call Dresden; and Pearl, mutually as I regularly do no longer in user-friendly terms like the call, actually suits o.k. with Dresden. The call flows o.k.; i like it lots. upload-on: MysticKoolaid decrease than does strengthen a sturdy element. i do no longer think of it's going to be all that undesirable; maximum young ones do no longer understand related to the region in the time of WW2. yet once you look up Dresden hearth Bombing, you may locate which you do no longer in user-friendly terms like the call inspite of each thing. nevertheless, i do no longer think of that many people will make the relationship. and whether they do, in case you have defined on your daughter explanation why you named her that (in simple terms keen on the city as that's at present), she could be able to describe to others why you went with that call and it particularly is going to be effective.

Sounds awful. I wouldn't say it's sexist, but it definitely isn't flattering. Nicknames should not be negative . . . . Good night!
