It depends on what you are referring to. My dad sometimes calls me "Wimpy" from the hamburger lover from the Popeye cartoons because I love hamburgers. This is a bit weird...you have my same avatar too..??

Oh almost forgot my mom's cartoon nickname for me: Cookie Monster because I love chocolate chip cookies. :-)

Many parents call their kids pumpkins at early age. The kids themselves learn to drop that nickname at a suitable time. It is up to her.

If someone tries to pin a nickname on another person, he or she should be stopped because it is hurtful.

I think of POPEYE or a Hefty trash bag commercial when I here "Wimpy" its not cute. That name sounds more like taunting then a nick-name. Go for something else. Please!

SEX-IST!! that is a common sterotype given to girls, can't do sports, can hang with the guys, that sorta stuff!! if that is your nickname, don't take it!! girls can keep up with the boys!
