You must spend your money for the best brand.

As I know HP and Dell are the best in laptops for a long time and they are very reliable too. I trusted HP and I bought a HP laptop 2 years before, and still like the day I bought it. Didn't even have to service it at least once up to now.

I recommend you to buy a HP (with experience) or Dell laptop.

On www.hp.com you can even customize your laptop. And also you can check the price.

Go to pearl, control panel, programs. You can uninstall there. NO, you will generally not add more RAMM, but you will reover STORAGE space. You might also get rid of the bloat all new computers come with. You probably only hae a trial version of office, but it an essential tool. If you've pai for it, dont uninstall it. You can also remove programs from "startup" that will make your computer run faster, but you will get little pop ups saying windows has blocked programs.

To remove programs, always go Start, then find the Control Panel Link, then double click on Add/Remove programs and take it from there.

Removing programs usually just frees the hard drive and thats it.

You can remove all of the programs and have just Vista installed and it will still hog your memory.

this site will give you a sony vaio laptop just for completing some quick online tasks! really recommend it, especially if you're broke but really want/need a laptop (like me).

just say no to vista..it is full of bugs..incompatible with most drivers,software,games..give it a few years and maybe it might be a ok operating system..
