Go to the store and buy pads or tampons.
Go into the junior's department and get a bra.
Just tell your mom, she'll understand.

If you are closer to your dad than your mom (since you said she didn't understand - which I find hard to believe, did you come right out and tell her, or just try to hint at it in some way?) then you could simply tell him as briefly as possible that you need to go to the store and get some 'girl stuff.' He will probably not be eager to talk about it in-depth and will probably just take you to the store and send you in with some money. You can buy yourself a bra or two and some pads (get more than one package so you don't have to do it again as soon) at Target or WalMart or Fred Meyers or lots of other stores.
Also if it's just that your mom is too embarrassed to talk to you about it (strange as it may seem, some are - my friend's mom said that when she was a teen and first got her period her mom didn't tell her ANYTHING and she had to figure it out all on her own) just take the same approach as I said for your dad, only towards your mom.
Worst case scenario, set up a 'mall day' with a girlfriend, and then just get your stuff then, with your friend.

Hopefully, you have a good relationship with your mom where you can talk about these things. If not, do you have an aunt, older sister, or one of your friend's moms that you can talk to? I am also confused if you are saying you're pear shaped or if you started your period. You can get a bra just about anywhere including WalMart and Target. If you must go alone, ask an older female clerk to help you out.

Well, as far as your period, you mom has one too. Look around in the bathroom, or where your mom keeps her personal stuff, you will find pads or tampons. As far as the bra, if you are from a culture that doesn't wear them, save up any money you get and go to the store yourself. The ladies who work in those sections can help you find the right fit

what's your age? if you've just started you're period at 9 or 10, your parents might not think its your time yet
if you can get a ride to the mall and pick yourself up some bras and pads then go with that
but if you can't then you should probably just tell your mom you have your period
its embarrasing, but its a talk lots of us females have to go through, just know you're not alone lol
also when you're having cramps but you haven't told your mom about your period, well lets just say school is a little uncomfortable with cramps lol

Your question is unclear darlin, are you talking about a your period, or a pear shaped body? Are you also talking about asking for a bra? These kind of questions should be directed to your mom or an older female who could help you. It's normal and you shouldn't be embarrassed to ask.

Why would your mom not understand? She's a female who gets (or got) a period and I assume she wears a bra. I'm not understanding how she wouldn't understand. I don't know how old you are, but if you're old enough and have your own money, you can go buy the things you need....bra, pads, tampons, etc. Otherwise, you're going to have to tell someone who can buy it for you.
