Don't you have better things to do with your time, other then trying to become a criminal. (Get a real life).

I don't worry about how to become a hacker. I just spend a lot of time working on computers that have been hacked. I am trying to figure out a way to completely eliminate the hackers. If I could do that it would probably be the happiest day of my life. They are getting better at catching hackers and giving them jail time. I will do anything in my power to catch a hacker. And then hope they throw the book at him/her.

you can start by learning all the programming languages like c# c++ java ,cobol, batch, learn every thing you can about the current operating systems and all the latetest pc hardware

and then start practicing and learning on your own unless there is such thing as hacker school or some hacker courses in college or something

here's an ideal if you get a bachelor's in some kind of programming and do so for a some company you can do stuff like hacker their data because you make the software

if you like hacking then this is totally worth it!

but if you think you can't handle that kindof field of work then maybe you should be something else and leave the hacking to the big (dumb) dogs

If you have to ask, you'll probably never advance beyond a script kiddy. A real hacker would never post publicly that he wants to hack. Dont do it to hurt people or you will go to jail. Beleive me, you might be able to cause some mischief, but the big boys have very powerful tools nd will catch you. You dont want to be the "bride" of some 250 pound guy named "bubba".

There are such people as ethical hackers and they try to make the world a better place. You can even look up the term and pursue studies that way. There is also such a thing asstudying hard and joining the military for electronic warfare and homeland security. Some other "hacktivists" use their skills to even the playing field against unethical people, companies and governments.

Hahaha. If you're resulting to Yahoo! Answers for your hacking needs, I'm afraid you're not going to get too far. Hacking involves knowing scripts and codes (computer languages) such as C++ and Java. Most companies have very strong security protocals, and you normally have to excell in programming classes at high school, or become a programmer or something similar as a career.

A hacker can be any thing .. there are hardware hacks.. (macking a device do some thing it was not designed to do) and you CANT be a hacker... persons become hackers as a concecuense of been realy good at one or more fields..
mainly talking about computers..
I would advice you to start by learing how your computer works and what components do what.. (A+ cer /computer technician) than try to learn Visual Basic Scripting / programming such as C++ and more.. it all depends what you want to learn..
Any ways there are tools out there to do different things but a real hacker is a person who finds a CLEVER way to get around things.. such as problems.. errors or security..(dome times)
anyways here is the deffinition of hacker:
Hacker is a term often applied to computer software or computer hardware programmers, designers and administrators, especially those who are perceived as experts or highly accomplished in this field. A hacker is also a term used for someone who modifies electronics such as ham radio transceivers, printers or even home sprinkler systems for better functionality or performance. The term usually bears strong connotations that may be favorable or pejorative depending on cultural context (see the hacker definition controversy).

In computer programming, a hacker is a software designer and programmer who builds programs and systems that garner the respect of one's peers. A hacker may also be a programmer who reaches a goal by employing a series of modifications to exploit or extend existing code or resources. For some, "hacker" has a negative connotation and refers to a person who gains illegal access to computers (hacks) or uses kludges to accomplish programming tasks that are ugly, inelegant, and inefficient. This derogatory form of the noun "hack" is even used among users of the positive sense of "hacker" (some argue that it should not be, due to this negative meaning; others argue that some kludges can, for all their ugliness and imperfection, still have "hack value").
In computer security, a hacker is a person who specializes in work with the security mechanisms for computer and network systems. While including those who endeavor to strengthen such mechanisms, it is more often used by the mass media and popular culture to refer to those who seek access despite these security measures.
In other technical fields, hacker is extended to mean a person who makes things work beyond perceived limits through their own technical skill, such as a hardware hacker, or reality hacker.

Another one got caught today, it's all over the papers. "Teenager
Arrested in Computer Crime Scandal", "Hacker Arrested after Bank Tampering"...
Damn kids. They're all alike.

But did you, in your three-piece psychology and 1950's technobrain,
ever take a look behind the eyes of the hacker? Did you ever wonder what
made him tick, what forces shaped him, what may have molded him?
I am a hacker, enter my world...
Mine is a world that begins with school... I'm smarter than most of
the other kids, this crap they teach us bores me...
Damn underachiever. They're all alike.

I'm in junior high or high school. I've listened to teachers explain
for the fifteenth time how to reduce a fraction. I understand it. "No, Ms.
Smith, I didn't show my work. I did it in my head..."
Damn kid. Probably copied it. They're all alike.

I made a discovery today. I found a computer. Wait a second, this is
cool. It does what I want it to. If it makes a mistake, it's because I
screwed it up. Not because it doesn't like me...
Or feels threatened by me...
Or thinks I'm a smart ***...
Or doesn't like teaching and shouldn't be here...
Damn kid. All he does is play games. They're all alike.

And then it happened... a door opened to a world... rushing through
the phone line like heroin through an addict's veins, an electronic pulse is
sent out, a refuge from the day-to-day incompetencies is sought... a board is
found.
"This is it... this is where I belong..."
I know everyone here... even if I've never met them, never talked to
them, may never hear from them again... I know you all...
Damn kid. Tying up the phone line again. They're all alike...

You bet your *** we're all alike... we've been spoon-fed baby food at
school when we hungered for steak... the bits of meat that you did let slip
through were pre-chewed and tasteless. We've been dominated by sadists, or
ignored by the apathetic. The few that had something to teach found us will-
ing pupils, but those few are like drops of water in the desert.

This is our world now... the world of the electron and the switch, the
beauty of the baud. We make use of a service already existing without paying
for what could be dirt-cheap if it wasn't run by profiteering gluttons, and
you call us criminals. We explore... and you call us criminals. We seek
after knowledge... and you call us criminals. We exist without skin color,
without nationality, without religious bias... and you call us criminals.
You build atomic bombs, you wage wars, you murder, cheat, and lie to us
and try to make us believe it's for our own good, yet we're the criminals.

Yes, I am a criminal. My crime is that of curiosity. My crime is
that of judging people by what they say and think, not what they look like.
My crime is that of outsmarting you, something that you will never forgive me
for.

I am a hacker, and this is my manifesto. You may stop this individual,
but you can't stop us all... after all, we're all alike.
