I think it was some kinda toy for the kids to play w/ outside. I love digging through big piles of junk people throw out. seriously addicted to yard sales. Freecycle is cool too, if you haven't already, you should check to see if there's a group in your area. It's a great way to give and get junk or treasures, whatever the case may be.

The last thing? That was a stereo cabinet, there was nothing wrong with it at all. I've gotten Televisions that work, radios large outdoor toys all kinds of things.
Most of the time they just need a cleaning.

I nabbed some lumber from a neighbors garbage around the corner, to make a roost box for a screetch owl that was in my backyard.
She loved it too! She hatched her babies in it!
It was SO cute.

I never picked another person's garbage...but I had to pick through mine once because I threw away my driver's license and fifty bucks that were in a bank envelope.
Gross but worth it.
