10 Best Rock Bands of All Time?

Question

Curious as to what people think are the 10 best rock bands of all time are - one hit wonders don't count.

Some great answers, though I encourage some of you guys to think of the body of work - My Chemical Romance is good, but seriously they have what - 1 maybe 2 CD's out there. Also I might take exception to Skynard as an all time great, but this is strictly subject to each's opinion.

O.K. here is my list:
1) The Beatles - at least 3 of the 4 were true artists
2) Led Zeppelin - never really given enough critical acclaim
3) Rolling Stones - Black Door, Satisfaction enough said.
4) The Doors - though they are my personal favorite the top 3 are more popular.
5) Pink Floyd
6) The Who
7) Black Sabbath - only the Ozzy years
8) Metallica
9) Nirvana - short career but too influential to be ignored.
10) Guns and Roses - would be higher if they hadn't imploded so soon.

But that's just my opinion I could be wrong . . .

Obviously due the the subjectiveness of the question there are no right answers here, I just want to see what others think and we'll resolve this through the democratic process by voting . . .

I'd have to say this question is very subjective. After all, we could debate about what is "rock" for hours. But it's no secret that a few groups or bands have had more influence and commercial success than others.
And, unlike some fans and critics, I think commercial success does count. After all, if a band is as successful as the Beatles, then they influence so many others.
