No never, everyone i know knows each other and I know if i re-wrap a gift and if the person who gave that gift to me found out they may be hurt.

i would never regift..that is too tacky..i do have a girlfriend who does that and she gave my dauhter something she had received for her kid..she insists she didn't but it was a birthday tee shirt that is 2 sizes too small but she insists it fits her daughter who is about 3 inches taller then mine and weighs a bit more then mine
