Not all did but yes, some Nazis had tattoos under their arms and this was used to convict or capture them after the war. Only the elite had them.

And the prisoners were tattoo'd on their forearms, not their hands.

What part of the trial did this person with the tattoo participate in? Swastikas are mostly for Jews. Most white supremicists hate all other races. A good movie is American History X tells a story about a man with one if you want to learn about it. Most people don't even know how bad the Nazis were. I'm not racist ,but my grandma was a Nazi in Germany. They did so many horrible things. These white kids think it's cool to sport these Swastikas. Also there's a small chance that he has it for good luck. I know that's one meaning of it.

Yes they did actually. It was required but not enforced for members of the SS to get blood group tattoos. These were different colored versions of the SS letters. The different colors represent the different blood groups (blood types) The tattoo would be located on the underside of the left arm around the armpit area. The reason behind this was to aid in giving the proper blood type in blood transfusions done on the battlefield.

White it was required of members of the SS to have it it wasn't enforced. During the final days of the war and during allied occupation of Germany members of the SS would attempt to carve off their tattoos to avoid being idnetified as members of the SS and charged with war crimes or simply shot by Russian soldiers.

Yes. They had their blood type tatooed in the arm pit so that if they were wounded they could be treated more quickly because the doctors wouldn't have to type their blood. The Allies learned to ID the SS by looking in the arm pit for the tatoo or a scar where the tatoo had been removed.

The only tattoo that all SS men had was their blood type on their upper arm; I think the left one. That was how allied troops could tell someone was SS in POW camps.

Do mean the tattoo is of a swastika The swastika is an equilateral cross with its arms bent at right angles, in either right-facing - or left-facing - forms Swastika-like symbols also appear in Bronze and Iron Age designs Why it is hated today is because Hitler and the Nazi party used it as their symbol. The swastika is an extremely powerful symbol. The Nazis used it to murder millions of people, but for centuries it had positive meanings. The Nazis and neoNazis have no registered copyrights on the use of the swastika.

Yes, the SS gave their loyal soldiers a tatoo in the arm pit area as a secret symbol of their organization. They did learn to regret this act of brovado when the conquering Allies used these to identify them as Nazis and imprisoned them.
