If I hear one more person say Weezy is the best rapper alive, I'm gonna go crazy. the dude isn't even the best in the South...and that's saying something because lyrically, the South is awful.

if you're looking for more mainstream rap, go with Jay-z, Eminem, Nas, or Rakim...and he doesn't do much anymore, but Andre 3000 from Outkast is good as well.

if you're looking for the best overall lyrical ability, go with Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, Royce da 5'9", or Styles of Beyond.

Chamillionaire, Ludacris, Lupe Fiasco and Joe Budden are good as well.

If you're into overrated rappers with decent lyrical talent, but way too much hype, go with T.I., 50 Cent, or the aforementioned Lil Wayne, aka Weezy.

Believe it or not I would have to say Kid Rock. Not that he is all rap but because he is so versatile he can do just about any type of music, including rap and make it sound great! BTW, I love rap music!
