girl don't worry about the future worry about th e present only one person knows when the world will end and that person is god if u trust him if u r still alive when the end of world is at the end then well u will go ot heaven (if still alive) because no one knows (on earth) when the end of world really is :) hope i helped!:)

Something will happen in the year 2012. Just like something happens every year. Supposedly this will be a huge spiritual awakening.
Actually it comes from the Mayans, Nostradamus and some other person I can't remember.
But the end of the world was predicted by the guy that did the Jehovahs witnesses. the haleys comet guy. The WACO guy, etc.. you see my point. I'm glad the history channel does these things tho, It wakes people up to realize that life is short and to spend it loving those around you, because you never know when your time is done.

Some look at 2012 Assimilating information from many sources, we currently believe that some kind of MAJOR Spiritual Transformation for Earth will occur around 2012. We have all been feeling an evolutionary acceleration for several years now; we feel this is leading to a quantum transition from "the third dimension" into "the fifth dimension" for the portion of the population that is aligning itself with the vibrations of Love and Light.

It could be, but something BIG is supposed to happen then. I remember watching a movie last year in history and the Mayans predicted (who were very accurate with all their timings including pi who were closer without using calculators when we even USED ours) that the world will end on December 23, 2012 at 5:00 P.M.

Personally, I think it's a load of BS, but then again they said something big could happen too. It was weird cuz after that history class, I began to hear about that everywhere.

Just remember that they were really accurate. ;-)

They say that because the Mayan calender ends on 2012. They kept very accurate calenders for centuries.....They wrote the calenders way into the future and accurately forecast many future earth events that came true....but they suddenly ended their calender on 2012, and some say because it is the end of the world, but I say they had to stop somewhere and it just happened to be 2012....

everything that had a start will have an end too, the science guys said the end wont be very soon , but u never know may be tomorrow may be in 5 hundred millions of years , so live ur life like it will be ur last day this is my advice:)

The Hopi calander does not go past 2012. Perhaps we will simply have a new beginning.
