But a while ago I tallied up how much money I was spending on Starbucks drinks. An average of 2 drinks at $4 a day. That's $8 a day times 7 that's $64 a week times (let's say) 52 weeks that's about $3300 a year. So I cut down. I mean, $3000 buys me a lot of purses and fabulous shoes!
But I love iced Chais, strawberry creme drinks, soy lattes, etc.

No. Starbucks is a big faceless corporation who is taking over Ma and Pa coffee houses. I can honestly say that I've never bought a coffee at Starbucks. I would say that most people that go to Starbucks are desperately trying to be trendy and fit in and have absolutely no originality. They sit there being all "sophisticated" while paying too much for coffee and robing Ma and Pa!!

I hate coffee so no.
But Starbucks fits into the world coffee culture. We are highly mobile, so we can find a lovely little cafe somewhere and patronise it, but the problem is, if you are in the middle China, or across town, and you want a coffee, a good coffee that is, then you will go to Starbucks because you know what you will get.
I think there is a place for individual cafes, and I encourage everyone to go there and explore them. I love cafe culture and being sydney where lovely cafes abound, I find chain cafes bland and boring.
But, if you are busy and want a coffee to keep going, then starbucks is the way to go for most people.

No, I do not live on another planet. I am in a metro area of Florida where there is a Starbucks on every other corner and I have never been to Starbucks - so no opinion.

I think that Starbuck's,is becoming like fast coffee

I love it! But I prefer the plain coffee of the day with a couple shots of mocha. I dont like the FooFoo pretty drinks. EXCEPT for the new summer flavor, orange mocha! I got a sample of that today and they got me. They finally hooked me on something.

nasty coffee way to bitter for my taste as well as being to expensive when you can get a good specialty coffee at dunkin donuts at a fear price also they have the public fooled that they are the only ones with good coffee, baloney and besides they don't support our troops

Screw Starbucksand their $4.00 cups of latte mocha venti grande cappachino foo foo overpriced yuppie nasty tasting fag coffee. Juan Valdez has it right and .50 cents is right for a good cup of automatic drip coffee.

Yes, I do. I just spent a couple of hours there reading with my husband and son. A good place to relax, talk with others, and read a good book. Oh, the drinks are good too!
