i don't think they have ever said. There is a Springfield in practically every state. I don't think I have ever seen it snow on the Simpsons, so maybe in the south? But then again, they would have those weird accents....

No ones knows for sure. It could be anywhere. In some shows they live just a short drive from the Canadian border, in other shows they are near the Mexican border.
