Regarding the Madeleine McCann fiasco.

I've seen a lot of people criticise MRS McCann only; stuff luike #2SHE shouldn't have left the kids" etc, with no mentioon of the father who was also there, also left his kids, and is equally accountable. What is that crap about? How stupid is it?!

Yes, I know there are a lot of people who have criticised Mr McCann too, mainly about his attitude with the media etc, but I fail to understand why some people blame only the mother.

Why? Do parents not have equal responsibility?

I would understand if it had been the mother who had taken the kids away on her own, gone out and then Madeleine had gone misiing etc. But the father was there too. so I seriously do not get this "she" rubbish that people come out with, that's all. I think its a fair point, does anyone else?

JUST TO SAY: of course the main thing is finding this poor little girl and getting her home safely!

YES I agree - it should be about finding Madeleine not about blame.

I am just making a point.

I absolutely agree with you. When things go wrong the blame almost always gets put squarely on the mother's head.
If the father is at fault , then it is said that she should have seen it coming...!
What really worries me is that the focus has been so heavily on the parents' suffering. It should have been directed against whoever wrought this merciless action and the lack of systems in place in Portugal to deal with such an event.
The misdirection by the media has worked in the criminal's favour.

I reckon that Kate McCann is a bit thick. She may be a doctor, but nobody can convince me that thick people can't pass professional exams. And apologies for those of you who are religious, but the ultra-pious (not church leaders, but followers) are usually thick as sh*t.

Gerry McCann definitely runs this thing.

Did you know that when the twins were born he was out of the country? He was away for the last few months of his wife's pregnancy plus the first two months of his childrens' lives. On some kind of study course (at age 36)! It wasn't like he was in the Army, deployed to Iraq or anything. He was away from home solidly for half a year because he wanted to be! He had a pregnant wife and a two year old, and just abandoned them to go off and do his own thing. All this information comes from a letter he wrote from Amsterdam to a colleague in August 2005.

I've seen this too, and I thoroughly agree with you - parents have equal responsibility. I've also seen a lot of criticism for the father as well, but I do know the posts you are talking about - they were the earlier ones in the case when people didn't have as much info (although much of it is speculation) about what happened.

I also agree with you and everyone else who has said that the main focus should be on finding the little girl.

To be honest I havnt seen anything blaming Kate only. All the Qs I go on blame them both equally.
And as for criticism he gets more than her I would say.

This is the first I have heard of this and I couldn't agree with you more. I think that they are both responsible. I hope to God they find her and bring her home safely. My prayers are with her.

I totally agree with you. I think they're as stupid as each other for leaving the children on their own.
