Hey guys. I have just for 2 weeks have had some wrist pain. It is mostly on my right wrist and both sides of the right wrist has some pain when, like, playing basketball or sometimes when using it in certain twisting motions and sometimes when writing. The odd thing is sometimes my left wrist is painful and it's on both sides of the left wrist as well. Although the left wrist recently feels much better and there's not much pain there. But it's not from trauma, the pain anyway. I just did some pushups actually and there wasn't any pain in the wrist, just like kind of tiredness? The pain is pretty mild though nothing severe. But the thing is it isn't the bone, but like I guess ligaments on the sides of the wrist. I look forward to your replies. thanks.

From this site http://solver.ivillage.com/symptomsolver/selectSymptoms.cfm my symptoms seem to match up with juvenile arthritis.. any opinions.. that was actually what I was thinking because I had tendinitis of my wrist that just healed (de Queervain's or something like that) and it hurt when I bent it w/ pressure but right now there isn't pain for me when I put pressure on my wrist

Also because of both wrists being painful, that makes it seem like arthritis no? Cause it doesn't seem that likely that I would develop tendinitis in both wrists near the same time. I'm not sure though so your opinions on my injury would be nice.

My advice. Contact www.mineralresourcesint.com. Inquire abt their CMD. Its magnesium chloride basically. It is highly ionized mineral and helps ease the pain of arthritis, tendinitis, and other forms of pain when taken in. Aside from this, take lots of mineral water as follows: 2 glasses (1 glass=8 ounces) upon waking up in the morning, 1 glass half hr before meals, 1 glass 2 and a half hrs after meals and 2 glasses at bedtime. Avoid taking coffee, tea, sodas, chocolates and any alcoholic beverages. Hydrating the body eliminates the release of histamine, a neurotransmitter that triggers pain sensation. Joints when properly hydrated also wld function better.

Magnesium is supposed to be taken as follows: 450 mg per day.

You didn't mention if you feel tingly or numbness which would go with carpal tunnel. Your problem sounds more like arthritis especially the stiffness in your fingers. But the pain in your arm closer to your elbow could be more like a "tennis elbow" which is really a tendonitis of the muscle that pulls your forearm up. Only your doctor can tell you for sure. And he/she should be able to suggest an over-the-counter or prescribe a medication to help the inflammation on the days when it is worst. Don't be afraid to use medication it will help to prevent damage to your joints. It sounds like you spend alot of time at the computer which is a sure fire way to start all those symptoms. Be sure to take breaks from the keyboard regularly--at least every two hours get up, walk around and stretch all over and be sure to stretch your arms, wrists and hands and if you can, stretch the hands and wrists more often.

Sounds like tendonitis. Carpal tunnel is hand and forearms, not the wrist.

Try ice, and don't do exercise with the wrist bent and pulling or supporting things. Use wrist straight, untwisted.

Give it a week off of anything strenuous.

If it still hurts, for sure see a doctor.

OW! Mine does that too! My left wrist, because I broke it like.... 4 1/2 yrs ago. I'm not sure what's wrong with mine, but one doctor said it might be tendonitis. Mine's not the bone either. It's kinda my wrist and lower part of my hand. I put hot water on it in the morning yesterday, but that only helped for a few minutes.... You might want an xray or go to a specialist, b/c thats what i might have to do.

I'm not a doctor but it sounds like Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. On of the most common cause is improper hand position when using a mouse and keyboard.
