Is emal and letters a good way to keep in contact or would you rather just use the phone and text messages?

It's a mix, actually:

I hate the phone, and I hate physical letters. They are annoying and pointless.

I prefer text-based communication, including IM, email, and text messaging. It's the only way I will talk to someone besides actual verbal communication.

I sometimes tend to use e-mail to my sisters, as the phone would be long distance. I have kids and also don't like to make a phone call and end up on the phone forever. I mainly text my teenage sons.

Phone. I like the person to person, contact, even though it is over the phone, at least you can hear they're voice. I think the whole e-mail thing is kind of emotionless.

i dont like to talk much so i like texting! and email! I can email all day long but i hate getting on the phone, except for texting!

I would do e-mail and letters because it's cheaper than texting all the time and going over ur limited texts or ur minutes on ur phone and blah blah.

Love e-mail. But prefer phone. I won't text.

I prefer phone and email. Txting doesn't give you enough room for detailed conversations, and regular mail is too slow.

I would rather talk to somebody in person........or on the phone. Texting and e-mail is so impersonal

i prefer phone calls. i know someone who does nothing but text people as a form of communication. so boring.
