Yes, the copperhead, timber rarttlesnake, and the eastern cottonmouth snake are the three venomous snakes of Virginia. This link also has many harmless snakes.

Edit: the cottonmouth snake is also sometimes called a water moccasin snake, or green water moccasin. Same snake.

Virginia has pretty much the same snakes that the Carolinas have. The site below, sponsored by Virginia Tech, is a really good one for identifying the snakes native to your state.

The Two U really got to worry about are the northern Copperhead & Timber Rattlesnake all the other are harmlesss
