We have a business contract for people to sign up to buy a booth at our event and would like to have the contract available to download from our site. Trouble is, we don't know how to do this and getting help from the webhost is time consuming and sometimes goes unanswered for more time than we want to wait. Anyone who can help two novices? Our website is awesome (and I don't use that word often!) and it made me appreciate people who are knowledgeable in this area. I definitely do not fit into that category. My partner knows a little more than I do, but we would appreciate any help that we can get.
Thanks,
Kathy

Do you have the ability to upload to the site? If you don't you are going to have trouble. I would guess the alternative would be to join Sendspace (or equivalent) and upload a doc or pdf file, then put the link they give you on your webside.
The "normal" way to do this would be to upload the document to the site and then put a link starting ftp://pathname/filename

the way is to apply the pre-made information superhighway templates. obviously you may want to understand the fundamentals of the programming language notwithstanding it will be plenty easier for you as a starters.
