yes it uses a filter to filter the water so it dosent leave spots

It's designed not to leave spots--it has a water filter in the unit that micro-filters impurities out of the water and thus, leaves no spots---top end car washes use reverse-osmosis water filters to give you that spot-free car wash. Yes, it works pretty good except you have to but new filters periodically but you don't have to dry your car with it.....saves time and effort.
