Hi. As a liberal, a Democrat, I have not heard anything but unreasonable loathing and hatred and revulsion from Republicans in at least the last 15 years. They almost never actually discuss an issue on its merits--if the Democrats like it, they hate it. And this while the Republican Party has taken positions farther and farther to the right. It actually uses hatred as a political tool. This has not been constructive. It has been enormously short sighted and very bad for the country. Now it is in serious trouble, in a disasterous and needless war which they insist on defending merely because a Republican started it. The economy is a trillion dollars in debt to Communist China, this is a disaster! Yet because a Republican did it with tax cuts for billionaires they say its wonderful. It isn't. It is to the laws of economics what Hitler invading Russia was to World War Two. So no, there isn't much cons and Liberals can agree on until they start basing their opinions on reality rather than just blind rah rah team loyalty.

Both the liberals and the neo-cons agree that we need a big government. Both agree that we need entitlement programs, though neo-cons want to take away the few entitlements that the poor receive while protecting the many entitlements for the wealthy. Both agree that we should wage wars of nation building, though liberals want a war in Darfur and neo-cons want a war in the Middle East.
I'm proud to be neither a liberal nor a neo-con. Only libertarians (such as Congressman and Presidential Candidate Ron Paul) support a free society.

Most rational Americans are probably down the middle with leanings to one side or the other, and often criss-crossing from issue to issue. The notion of Cons and Libs as being remotely mainstream is a myth perpetrated by the Media and Politicians to keep the rest of us entertained as news casts are now part of corporate profit centers, and as politicians continue their crooked ways under the guise of "public service" and yes, of course, there are some exceptions.

i think of no longer, because of the fact maximum cons will in no way admit to something unfavorable approximately themselves or the leaders of their occasion. they won't take accountability for something, they forget approximately approximately and/or deny Republican wrongdoing, and that they rather help the obstructionism via the Republicans and the subsequent whining, blaming, and finger-pointing on the president for the effect of their obstructionism. that's incorrect, and as a effect, no, we can't agree on something. yet here is what's worse. Cons listed decrease than are no longer wealthy. And the flaws that the Republicans are doing will harm them. besides the undeniable fact that, those whose hatred for Obama is so extreme that it OVERRIDES the very burdens the Republican schedule will positioned on them, in the event that they get their way is in simple terms stupid, and that i will't appreciate absolutely everyone who might decrease off their nostril to spite their face.

No, Libs & Cons CAN'T agree on anything. If a conservative says the sky is blue, a liberal wil scream at the top of his/her lungs that it is green, including a non stop stream of curses in the rant.

You can always agree to disagree. The first amendment guarantees the right to an opinion. You can listen if you want, but you don't have to agree.
Get used to it or get familiar with North Korea.

I'm a moderate but I think there a lot of things the 2 sides agree on. What they don't agree on is the way to get there.
