Punk rock is definately NOT dead. but if you want REAL punk rock, listen to operation ivy or the offspring. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE BLINK 182, but they exist because of the bands i've listed above.

Punk is definitely not dead. And please don't ever think for one second that Green Day, My Chemical Romance, or any of those riduculous mainstream sell-out bands are PUNK, because they're not even close. Green Day WAS punk before they sold out and released DOOKIE in '93. Punk is a lifestyle, and a mindset, not just a genre of music. It represents what the mainstream of popular culture never will. The Punk scene of London and NYC is still alive today, and thriving!

You will not find anything PUNK on MTV [unless they're doing a documentary on punk music]. You will not find PUNK on the radio [unless you're listening to college radio at like 2am].

You used to find PUNK at CBGB's. [RIP]

PUNK ROCK IS NOT DEAD. As long as society exists in any organized form, punk will never die.

Real punk is on it's deathbed cos punk is an attitude & not the crap music people mistake as punk like Fall Out Boy, MCR, Panic at the Disco, Green Day...blah blah blah! There's some good punk around still but you have to find it these days....thankfully for the old school punks, The Damned & The Buzzcocks are still around!!!

No way
You just need to know how to separate sell outs from good bands. I suggest Purevolume.

Not at all.

It's just moved back to the underground. Where it belongs.

Punk is meant to be underground.

Real Punk that is, not fake stuff like Greenday/ Fall Out Boy
