People are isolated today much more than ever before. When someone is not getting enough positive interconnections, he/she begins to feel miserable, as though he/she is not worth dealing with. In reality, most people are just too busy to deal much with one another anymore.

I do feel people today have less self-esteem. Mine is what i consider to e a normal level most of the time, but I have days where it's low. And being knocked around in life is what helped develop it for me.
