I remember when I could fill my truck for $4.00. Course gas was 17 cents a gallon then.

I remember when i was shocked that it took 20 bucks to fill my tank.
though my dad says, the gas prices going up are not so much from big oil companies and oil wars, but because we are not buying enough for our cars. The less gas we buy, the more they will up the price to make sure they get theirs. Just something to think about.

filled up my tank for 30.00 on thursday don't remember when I was able to fill up for 15.00 miss the days of cheaper gas. Makes you wonder why the government hasn't done anything except bicker.

yes, i'm old, but i can remember when you could fill your car for $4.00, milk was 3 half gallon cartons for a dollar, candy bars were as big as the so called giant ones now, and were a nickel each, 6 for a quarter, and comic books were a dime.
men wore hats, women wore dresses, and almost everyone was nice.

Uh, I could fill my car for $15.00 six months ago. Now it's closer to $30.00.

It's awful isn't it. I am thinking of cancelling our vacation for this year. Paying more for gasoline than the motel and theme tickets is ridiculous. If we do go we are taking a big cooler and not eating out that is for sure.

It must be. Yesterday I put in $30 and got half a tank. On top of being #1 in crime and foreclosures and unemployment, Michigan also has the highest gas prices.
Our gov't sucks.

in '69 I filled up for 16.9 a gallon...they called them "gas wars"
$1.70 to fill a VW, in '71 it started and by '90 we thought it was all a dream...

I can't stand inflation! Just two years ago, I could fill up Candy, the girl who hangs out at Main St. and 31st, for just $7.00
