The English should indeed have their own National Anthem.
There will now follow ten years of blazing argument about which song will become the new all England National Anthem.
The final choice will be a compromise and anyone who knows the second verse will be thought to be foreign or Welsh, or Irish, or Scottish etc.
Only problem is, the English just cannot sing. Well, not in tune anyway.

The first person to answer your question is just plain embarrasing and rather misguided. If they are going to use that argument then it was the British who had an empire, including many Scots & Welsh, not just the English.
I am Scottish myself and I say yes of course you should have your own anthem, though personally whilst I quite like Land of Hope and Glory, why not have someone pen a new one that could be adopted by the people like Flower of Scotland has been with us, as written by the Corries?
In all honesty I feel that we as individual countries had our own identities quite strongly maintained within the culture of the people themselves, without these ridiculous devolved parliaments. We need less policticians not more but as we have been led down this sorry path then I would back England to have the same, if that is what the people want. Please believe me though , we have inherited another layer of policticians who are all a bunch of complete clowns in the Scottish parliament, so be careful what you wish for!

Jerusalem is a better choice than Land of Hope and Glory; a better tune, and less bellicose, obnoxious lyrics.

No---the English are responsible for destroying so many cultures worldwide. It's coming back to haunt them, and they can't deal with it.
It's called karma.
