I am trying to change the shading to light but it is dark and i can't see anything... a lil help here pls, i want to back where it is so i can see the graphs, numbers among other things.

You need to press the second button, and then press the scrolling up arrow or down arrow in the upper right of the calculator. If you hold the arrow, it will change the shading pretty quickly so watch it. You can always press it over and over again, but that would take a while.

If none of the above answers work, change the batteries.
I had to do this to fix a similar problem.

sure, there will be a message that pops up that asserts low battery, recomend replace of batteries. As for length, you shouldnt threat it and in basic terms replace the batteries. enormously in the adventure that your taking SATs, etc.

click "2nd" and the key that has an arrow point downward serveral times
