the length is 5 ft

using the equation given (P=2L+2W) just plug it in
24=2L+14
L=5

l= 5 2l + 2(7) = 24 2l = 24- 14 2l = 10 l = 5

2L + 2W = P
2L + (2)(7) = 24
2L + 14 = 24
- 14 - 14

2 / 2L = 10/ 2
L = 5
The length would be 5 feet.
Hope this was the best answer possible!

24= 2l + 2(7)
24 = 2l + 14
10 = 2l
l = 5

Using that equation
P = 24
W = 7
L is the unknown

P=2L+2W = 24=(2)(L)+14
24-14=2L=10
2L=10
L=5 ft which is the length.

24 = 2l + 2(7)
24 - 14 = 2l
l = 10/2
l = 5
l = 5ft

as my math teacher would say, "plug em and chug em"

plug each number in for it's variable...soo....

24= 2(7) + 2L

minus 14

10= 2 L

divide by 2

5=L

and 5 is your length:)

let the length be x
2x+14=24
2x=10
x=5ft.
