This is our first time hanging flower baskets and they are on the metal hooks you put in the ground. One of the hooks has 2 baskets and the other hook as one. I am not sure how sturdy these are and wondering if anyone has had issues with them being knocked off by the wind.

It's always a safe bet to put them on the ground during a bad storm. If they fall, the pot could split, stems and flowers can break off, etc.

Also, make sure you water your hanging baskets every day or two as they dry out much quicker than other containers.

If the bar at the bottom of the hook is buried in the ground then it will hold up pretty well. I don't usually take mine down.
Actually I only have when I was going to be away for a few days. I then put them in a small plastic swim pool with a bit of water in the bottom.

I have two of them in my yard, and I never take my plants off during storms, they seem to hold up pretty well as long as you have them in the ground deep enough.

I have never taking any off mine but if the wind gets up very high you might want to just to protect your plants they could become damaged.

I haven't had any problems. Unless they're not in there sturdy (do they seem loose?), I wouldn't worry about it unless an extreme bad storm was on it's way. :)
